Just sayin'.
actually it reminds me of any number of Sakoban games (Kwirk, Amazin' Tater, etc) but just utilizing better technology. It definitely has me addicted.

how many hours in?

I haven't hit 2 hrs yet sadly, cuz I was really busy the last couple nights. But shit just gets more amazing. Did you play Rapunzel in the bar?? So awesome. haha.
I haven't been counting, but I would say that I am about 11 hours in by now. Trust me, the story just gets better. And, in true Atlus fashion, the events leading up to the end of the game (the last day or two) will have you screaming "WTF IS HAPPENING?!" all over the place.

In the words of Yahtzee, "As far as obvious observations go, that's right up there with 'Batman and Robin were probably bum-fucking'." But, if you play the game, you'll find that they actually have very little in common. It's just that Catherine is such a new and unique game that we struggle to find an analog for anything that is even remotely similar to explain it. Also, I mean you no disrespect there, Opa Opa. You're a nice fella in my book. :)

@lisalover: yr game-save lists yr play time. Just curious how long the game is in an average playthrough.

Anyway, I'm a bit over 2 hrs in now. And I adore everything about the game. Though I have a pretty sizeable list of upcoming games I want, I doubt anything could dethrone this as GOTY. I kind of feel like this will be one of those games that will be fondly remembered in the future due to its incredibly originality, and quite honestly its ability to seemingly effortlessly get everything just right. Sort of like SOTC, y'know? Not in gameplay, but in successful execution.

Yeah, I know, but I was subtracting the estimated time that I was doing something else, but had the game paused.

On another note, I just beat the game a few minutes ago! The ending was really nice; it was well worth the time I put into the game.

Also, you're going to have to play the Persona games now that you've played this, aren't you, noise? ;) I assure you that you can expect the same level of quality from them that you can from Catherine.

oh yeah you had already convinced me that I needed to finally get around to Persona, but playing this has been like "yup, it's time." Haha.

I find this a lot better than the Persona games. Not even close. But Persona is still great, of course. :P

Wow, only 11 hours long? I was expecting something a little more lengthy from the Persona developers.
