Games that aren't rare that are usually overpriced

Post by KillerJuan77 »

I've been noticing a trend in which apparently games like Final Fantasy VII, Xenogears, Pikmin 2 or even Fatal Frame II get horrendously overpriced even though they made lots of copies (Some of the games I mentioned even got a GH or Player's Choice release). Why people do that?

Super Mario RPG suffers the same fate, thankfully I found a copy here in Mexico for 12 bucks but I've seen that people sells them on eBay for 40-60 bucks each copy.

Yeah, I've been noticing this with the entire Mario console RPG series, with the exception of Super Paper Mario on Wii, which commands the standard Nintendo premium anyways.

I remember when I hunted for that game, I shelled out $35. :?

I'm surprised I haven't seen Radiant Silvergun, yet.

I got my copy years ago, and I have no intention of ever letting it go. Even if I sold off my SNES collection, that would be the one item I'd hold on to. It's like a prize or something.

Anyway, some of the Star Wars games for oXbox are rather pricey. For example, both KOTOR games (especially the second one), Republic Commando, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and most surprisingly of all, Battlefront 2. Yes, the one that sold millions and millions. It goes for like $25 to $30 used. I can't believe it, I got mine new at Bestbuy on clearance for $5 in 2007, I never though in a million years it would ever be worth more than $5. Especially since the online mode is dead, of course.

I've noticed that too, most of them sold MILLIONS. The GC version of Star Wars: Jedi Academy II is pretty pricey too.
