Ninja Turtles III: Manhattan Project

Post by AdamGomez1987 »

I remember back when I was 5 years of age. This game was it. I tried my very best to beat this game and I could never do it. I got as far as getting to Razaar (The Mutated Turtle from the second movie) and failed.

It wouldn't be long before I played the game this year to get my revenge. This game is by the most evil thing I have ever played, especially when fighting against Krang.

I hear many people say that Ninja Turtles IV Turtles in Time was one of the greatest Ninja Turtles games that came out, though it is a very good game and one of the top turtles games I think Ninja Turtles III the Manhattan Project is a better game and the irony is that it is an NES exclusive. The things that I have enjoyed were the memorable tunes from the NES such as the boss scenes, Krang's theme was really weird as it had a *boogie woogie* twist to it.

The thing that made me laugh was Bebop's style of game play with that swirling ball over his head, it made no sense but it was awesome! Compared to Ninja Turtles IV, I thought the third one felt smoother in terms of the number of foot soldiers that would come out to attack. ( comparing the NES to the SNES as the arcade version of Turtles in Time had like 2x more foot soldiers on the screen and two of the bosses were different )

And last but not least, Super Shredder, in both games they both had their awesome-sauce version of the Super Shredder and the funny part was that they changed his colors from purple to teal in the NES (teal is one of my favorite colors so I let it slide big time ) and overall the game was just fun and the limit of continues was just plain evil.

My favorite character has always been Donatello ( in both actually ) and I loved his special attack doing the swirling bo staff.

TMNT III is the best of the series IMO. Great difficulty, great length and awesome sound and graphics for the Nes. I really don't think they could of done a better job with the source material.

This game and Battletoads for the NES, I think both of these games are better than the Super Nintendo port/sequel.

Yea I agree Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is a huge disappointment for the Snes. Battletoads and Double Dragon is an awesome game especially on the Genesis.

The Battletoads and Double Dragon game is much more difficult on the NES than on the GEN from what I've played. I've only played the SNES port which I assume is basically the same game as the GEN since I seen absolutely no differences.
