Thanks Dave, I'll see if I can figure out how to get there between now and August.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Should we make a list of things / games / consoles to bring?

I wish I still had some small tv's to do console LANs.

I think I am set for consoles unless someone really wants to bring a 3DO for a Ballz Director's Cut tourney (I have Ballz 3D for the Genesis). Here's what I think we could do...games are just suggestions and are based on my library.

Room 1
CRT TV1 (32") - Sega Station (Guardian Heroes, Three Dirty Dwarves, Golden Axe games, Ballz, Gunstar Heroes, NBA Jam, Cannon Spike, Eternal Champions CD, etc.)
HDTV 1 (55") - Sony Station (I have most recent fighters and FPS games, Contra PS2 games, Twisted Metal series, almost any sports/racing titles you might want, X-Men/TMNT/Gunstar and many other retro PSN releases, Sega Classics collection, etc.)

Room 2
HDTV 2 (43") - 360/Wii Station (Castle Crashers, all Halo games, Raiden IV and Raiden Fighting Aces, Mushihime Sama Futari Ver. 1.5, Gears 1 and 2, Mario Kart Wii, most Wii Lightgun games, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Moneky Ball, TvC, Wii Sports games)
CRT TV2 (21") - Nintendo Station (Dr. Mario, Contra games, TMNT games, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, Killer Instinct Gold, Sin and Punishment, Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO, etc.)
MAME Cabinet - the majority of shmups and fighters that I have for systems can also be played here, so I think it should be the default for many of those titles.

I left out Atari, PCE, and more obscure stuff but could add them if people are interested or they can be played via compilations or emulation...

That's all I can think of that would be fun for multiple players off the top of my head, but obviously there are far too many games listed. maybe 3-4 games per "station" would be sufficient? That would give us ~10-15 games plus a MAME cabinet to choose from. Seems like more than enough to me.

What I don't have are a ton of extra controllers or extra arcade sticks and I have no multitaps of any kind.

I am going to have to do some rearranging of the house to get all this to work correctly, but it should pan out!

I'd also invite folks who have done these elsewhere to chime in with what worked where they were.

I have a PS2 multitap. My vote also goes to Mario Kart 64 (some people here might know why heh heh) on the Nintendo station, as well as maybe a beat-em-up or two.

Mario Kart 64 is cool with me.

Are the TMNT games for the NES 4-player compatible? Are there some good SNES or GCN 3-4 player games I am forgetting?

It's not a party without Contra Hard Corps.

Also... what about Batsugun, Radiant Silvergun or Ikaruga for shmups? Those ones are pretty damn awesome with 2 players.

I have Contra Hard Corps and could possibly put that on the Sega station, though I suck at it. I do have those shmups for consoles - but all can be MAME'd for the arcade version pretty well, can't they?

Do it!

I would imagine so, they'd probably be a lot more enjoyable on a cab too. I don't have much experience with using MAME but Ikaruga might be hard to emulate.

Bomberman iterations.
