Post by vlame »

so yeah, my ps1 just decided it could play burns with no inducement.

both discs of GT2 and sam sho 4 special just booted for god know's why.

i know it's a SCPH-1001 with a parallel port and rca jacks. Looks like i have no need for the damn external gaysharks.

To my knowledge it doesn't have a modchip.

Time to hire an exorcist or maybe hire Jennifer Love Hewitt with her Ghost Whispering ability to see who previously got murdered playing that PS1 system.

Was it used when you got it? If it was used it may have been chipped but the wires may have come loose from a bad solder job and they have somehow realigned themselves again! Hehe. Thats the only explanation I can think of!

Internal ones are soldered onto the motherboard. Open the PS1, if theres an odd looking piece of PCB thats been soldered with wire to the motherboard it's defo been chipped.

It'll be on the topside of the motherboard, beneath the sheet metal plate.

I've actually heard of this happening before, by the way. It'll be interesting to see if it truly is unmodified. Hell, you're lucky that you even have a working 1001 model.
