Well it was looking like a so so day, wasn't even planning on hitting up the games stores. Glad I did as I picked up the following from play n' trade:

Pieces (SNES)
Leathal Enforcers II Gun Fighters (to replace a messed up copy)
Boogerman (Genesis w/ case but rough shape)

I then stopped in at a goodwill I haven't been to in a long while and i'm glad I did.

Sega Master System w/ controllers and hookups -$20
Sega Genesis (High Definition Graphics) w/ Power Base Converter and hook ups - $20

The following games with mint cases at $3 a piece:

Stormlord (CiB)
After Burner II
R-Type (master system)
Thunder Blade (master system)
Sonic The Hedgehog (mint)
Altered Beast (mint)
688 Attack Sub (bundled with the genesis)

I was pretty excited to finally get my hands on a master system. Just as I'm thinking about leaving a game or two behind; A guy notices my find and he was kind of bummed he missed the items. He told me the day before there was a pile of Saturn games with their cases including Panzer Dragoon for $1 each (which the guy bought). :x :x :x :x Should have gotten his info for a trade..

Oh well, I got what I wanted. 8)

Found an N-Gage QD at Salvation Army for $2. It was mixed in with a bunch of 10-year-old Cingular cell phones.

More great stuff from Mormon thrift store Deseret Industries (http://providentliving.org/content/disp ... -1,00.html):

Image

Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution - GameCube (complete) - $3.00
I snatched this up in all the excitement. Didn't realize it wasn't PSO I & II and instead some goofy card battle game.
Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown - PS2 (complete) - $3.00
Geom Cube - PS1 (complete) - $3.00
Crossroad Crisis - PS1 (complete) - $3.00
Looks like a fun Pipe Dream style game where you guide a cute little chick to it's home.
Sim Theme Park - PS1 (complete) - $3.00
Detective Barbie: The Mystery Cruise - PS1 (complete) - $3.00
"Help Barbie catch the cruise ship art thief!" Had to get this.
Jumping Flash 2 - PS1 (no manual) - $3.00
Didn't even know Jumping Flash had a sequel. Cool!

Image

2 Namco GunCons - $3.00 each
Scorpion 3 (GunCon 1 and 2 compatible) - $3.00

Image

Mortal Kombat - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
Ecco the Dolphin - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
Ecco: The Tides of Time - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
Bram Stoker's Dracula - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
Rise of the Dragons - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
Dungeon Master II: Skullkeep - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin - Sega CD (complete) - $3.00
The cases themselves are very beat up, but all the games are complete and all the discs are in great shape. Even got a few of those elusive foam bricks!

I think I got a good deal on a NES controller bundle today.

3 Zappers
1 Arkanoid Vaus controller
1 NES Advantage
1 regular NES pad

$32 shipped

They're all untested though, so it might have been a waste. I needed the zappers, and another standard pad can't hurt since most of mine have something wrong with them. I talked myself into it because I can hopefully sell the Vaus controller to recoup some of my cost.

If the Vaus works (very likely) then that was a great deal. :)

Most faulty accessories from earlier systems can be repaired fairly easily.

If you don't already...
Open up any accessories that don't work as they should.
Clean the insides thoroughly including any corrosion on the contacts, check for funtion, loose solder joints... grease/oil/lubricate, solder where needed before reasembling.
If one item has a knackered board/wire/ housing and you have another faulty one with the required part, swap them round.

Never bin an item that you havn't tried to refresh.

Infact don't bin anything.

Well my birthday was a few days ago and I got Enslaved (Xbox 360), Majin (Xbox 360), and Retro Game Challenge (DS). Free games are the best kind of deal! :D

I also snatched up Wolfenstein (Xbox 360) at Best Buy today cause they had it new for only $9.99 and I had a $15 Rewards certificate. Used up the rest on a $10 PSN card. Good deal. :)
