Ha, I have this problem with my cousin sometimes when we eat at restaurants more than once.

All media can be read as political/ideological, and for good reason - people who create media have their own ideas/beliefs/worldview that influences what they create, and all audiences can potentially have their own worldview reinforced or challenged by media. Nothing in life exists or is created in some sort of vacuum devoid of politics...
This isn't an exact quote and more of a paraphrase by John Carpenter (Halloween)but he said it best, "You could find politics in any film even Plan 9 From Outer Space."

Yeah, I don't mean to try and insist that media is created in a political vaccum, because it obviously isn't, but I worded it kinda badly.

I guess I'm saying that there's a difference between noting how certain worldviews are reflected in a given work, and ranting on about how The Powerpuff Girls is carefully disguised sexist neocon propaganda. I'm specifically talking about the latter.

...I think it might fit in with my broader view of disliking conspiracy nuts and the way they try to twist anything into being 'evidence' for whatever it is they're talking about.

One thing that has been pissing me off lately is friends and family on Facebook that post random pics of religious stuff.

That guilt trip you.

There's a pic like this where it says "like if you love Jesus" and if you love the devil do nothing.
