I make them in a strange way, though. I mix about half of the flavoring packet with some water in a bowl and then add the noodles. The water/seasoning covers most of the noodles but leaves a few dry at the top. I then microwave it until the liquid is absorbed into the noodles. The end result is a thick, flavorful bowl of noodles with some crunchy delights!

I generally just get Maruchan since they're cheap. Occasionally I'll buy some imported or fancy ones, but I couldn't tell you what they were. I do like to buy salad shrimp to toss in while boiling the noodles so there's a little protein in there.

To my utter dismay this is pretty much the only type of ramen I've ever eaten.
Besides that, does anyone else put eggs in their ramen?

@ dylan, yes i do that sometime... its pretty good. I like the yolk not fully cooked though.

No but I've always wanted to try that. How is it? Also, I did once put leeks in my ramen.
