The Addon Subject

figured id make a chat for the addons for sega units. First off is Road Avenger any fun on Sega CD, looks fun. Also is it normal for a 32x/CD2/Gene 2 setup to make a buzzing noise when it isnt outputting sound, like at startup or if there is no music.

I got my MkI Genesis and Sega CD 2 new back in the day and they've been together ever since also with a 32X installed. Mine have never buzzed. It is not normal for that set up to buzz.

well i think ive solved the problem, its mainly on doom and i think its just the fuzzy sound output cause my nes likes to do it. Its not an electronic buzzing its directly out of the speakers.

I bought time gal and road avenger a couple months ago at a market for like 2 euros or something and they wouldn't work for me in any emulator despite being in perfect condition :? I might consider buying a mega cd but that would only be if I got a copy of Sonic CD since the games I have look like shitty fmv games. In my oppinion there are only like 5 decent Sega CD games; Sonic CD, Snatcher, Android Assault, Terminator, and Ecco the Dolphin CD.

Was there ever an add-on for the Genesis that allowed you to play SMS or Game Gear games, sort of like the Super Gameboy for SNES?

The Power Base Converter allows you to play SMS games on a MkI Genesis, there is no such adaptor for Game Gear games.

The first, larger version of the Genesis. The Power Base Converter does not fit on the second or third version of the Genesis. I've heard that there was a 2nd version of the Power Base Converter made that would fit on the 2nd version of the Genesis, but if it does exist it is very, very rare.
