The weirdest thing I ever had happen to me with USPS was I had a sega cd model 2 shipped to me. I can't remember what the shipping option was called but it was the one that required a signature from me before it was delivered and also had a tracking number. Well I was following along with the tracking number and one morning woke up to see that it was updated with *Delivered*. Obviously I hadn't received it so I looked at who signed for it and it was some guy who's name I could not pronounce. I called USPS and they said they made a mistake and went back to the guy's house to retrieve it. Luckily I got everything intact but I couldn't believe the delivery guy delivered it to the complete wrong address (different city as well), and made some guy sign for it that had a name not even close to being similar to mine. Weird.

Regarding Parcel Post, I've never had an issue with it. Sure it takes a bit longer but I've never had my packages smashed or lost because of it. I've even had small boxes sent Parcel because of their weight (why they didn't put it in a flat-rate box baffles me...) and they turned up fine, just a bit slower than Priority.

I've had an issue where I shipped a package to GERMANY of all places and USPS lost my package. Yeah, international shipment lost. Seems like a lost cause right? Well I thought so too. Went to the post office, they checked the tracking and said it successfully boarded a plane to Europe and they couldn't track further. About two weeks later it was tied to my mailbox with some rope and about 4000 stickers and stamps all over it. I have no freaking clue how they returned it to me from GERMANY but I was able to convince the lady at the post office to re-post it for free.

In short: if it hasn't been two months there is still the possibility of the package showing up, either at your address or the shipper's. I know it's hard but just be patient, it is very rare that USPS actually permanently loses a package.

On another note, I think the rollers alone are reason enough to not ship Saturn/SCD games in bubble mailers, let alone the mishandling of packages by my local delivery persons...

I'm pretty sure only flexible envelopes go through the automatic sorters. Thus the distinction of a 'package'.

I misread, my apologies. I saw envelope as I was reading the thread and missed the word "regular". Well my point stands about shipping Saturn/SCD games lol.

I've got a good ol' Sega Genesis Model 1 CIB coming in parcel post and it's well over a week late as of today... after reading the OP's post I'm kinda worried but then again this is the slowest an' cheapest method...

I worked for DHL in the past as a dock worker/package handler an' I know from experience most of 'em don't give a crap about what they're cramming into those trucks...

I had an item arrive 7 months after it was shipped.

Judging by the packaging, it had been sent to China or Japan (sorry, both look similar to me - I know they arent the same) before coming back to the UK and actually being delivered.

This was all after the fact that the tracking said "delivered" within 3 days of the item being sent.
