What would you like to see in a Ghost in the Shell game?
Re: What would you like to see in a Ghost in the Shell game?
The PS2 Ghost in the Shell game wasn't bad.
What I really want from a Ghost in the Shell game is lots of moral quandries about the use of human robotic augmentation and what to do about sentient artifiicial intelligences.
Actually, it looks like the new Deus Ex will give me what I'm looking for.

Take that idea, put it in a cell-shaded anime style, have lots of images of Kusanagi standing around looking both badass and sexy, and I'm sold.

What JT said, and that's a nice reminder that I need to finish that PS2 game someday. It was really awesome to be honest, I still haven't checked out the PSX one though, I've heard it's pretty solid as well.

All I'd want is a kick ass intro. Let's face it, most anime (movie) games blow monkey chunks. Best I can hope for is a game that's _playable_. Throw in a good soundtrack from the series/feature, and I'm good.

Both the PS1 and PS2 Ghost in the Shell games were both pretty good (the PS1 game was a lot more fun, though). I would want the perfect GitS game to just improve on the formula presented in the PS2 game (tighter controls, better camera, and much smoother gameplay flow) along with a couple of tank sequences from the PS1 game. Just don't make it an FPS like the PSP game. That was pretty bad.
