I voted for Toe Jam & Earl because I was a huge SNES fanboy, so I really have no knowledge of the iconic Genesis titles released for the console, though I had friends who were fans of the title. Recently I discovered my girlfriend has a Genesis, and is sorely lacking in games(she has two, Jeopardy and Battletoads), so now I'm interested in good games to look up in the future for her.
Either way, looking forward to the future of Together Retro!

is Toe Jam and Earl on virtual console yet?
if not, thats going to be a price limiting game. I picked a copy up several years ago and it was pricy then, assuming it still is.
it is a game thats held up well to time, you'll definitely have a good time playing it. although it is less of a 'competition' game as it is an experience [would be a good introduction to the modern school of thought for game design].
Perhaps it would be a good idea to tie this series along with retro games that are made relevent in the news.
If anyone has seen the new pontiac commercials, spyhunter would be a GREAT choice.
I pulled it out this weekend and rediscovered I suck at it and its still hard/frustrating.
