I've never cried at a game, but SotC instantly came to mind. Agro really upset me. Shocked me.

I played Every Day the Same Dream last night JT, very interesting experience!

Cool! I'm always glad when I can introduce someone else to that game. It's simple and short, but I think it's good proof of concept that videogames can tell stories with more emotional depth than 'some good guy shot a bunch of bad guys'.Bradtemple87 wrote:I played Every Day the Same Dream last night JT, very interesting experience!

Never cried because of a game.

MGS3 for me as well, the part where you have to shoot her, but more so the speech that Eva gives explaining "The Boss's" true intentions.
MGS4 had some moments, like where you are crawling through that corridor, being killed by the radiation, but still pushing on. Then the end cutscene was pretty emotional all around but when Otacon said to Sunny "Snake's had a hard life, its time for him to rest now" I almost lost it.
My Fiance says FFX gets her at the end when Tidus (sp?) turns out to not be real, and Yuna runs right through him.

Final Fantasy Tactics' ending affected me - but I've never actually have been moved to tears. Heh, poor Delita.

The closest I ever came to crying was Chrono Cross. Serge had just gone back in time to watch Lucca's home burn down. Serge was able to save the child Kidd. They stood on a hill watching her home vanished in a blaze and she begged and pleaded for Serge not to leave her alone....and then he did.
Final Fantasy VII got to me a little bit - when Cait Sith was happily going off to his death in the temple of the ancients. All he could think about was how much fun he'd had and how he wished he'd had more time. Of course, in typical Squaresoft fashion that moment of feeling vanished when they reintroduced his replacement three seconds later. Oh well.
I didn't cry but when the baby metroid died in Super Metroid I felt sheer rage. The first time I played that last fight with Mother Brain it was PERSONAL. "You Mother Fucker" were my exact words, I believe.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

You guys are such pussies. Real men only cry at computer games when they're playing shmups and can't blink because the action is so intense. Seriously, I've had tears streaming down my cheeks many times on some intense high score runs. Think the same happened a few times with wipeout hd as well.
