Some of the last fat PS2 models did. A little googling would turn up the exact model numbers.

Must have been real late fat models. My brother's 50001 doesn't have an IR sensor.

You're crazy or this is a strange coincidence. I have a 50001 and it has an IR sensor.

all 50001 series fatties have an IR sensor. its between the power and eject buttons iirc.

i think if the serial number sticker is on the butt and not the rear, it has the IR.

nope. all 50k models had it. if it has the sticker on the side isntead of the back, it's a 50001N which came witht he network adapter attached. they moved the sticker there so you wouldnt have to detach the adapter to see it. some 39001 models (39001N) came with the net adapter too, but do not have the IR sensor. the 50k series has extra pins on the reset ribbon specifically for the IR sensor

nope, there are a few 39k models (39001N) that had it moved. they only did this to consoles that came bundled with a net adapter. they will have a model number ending in N (50001N, 390001N, etc)
