It still made me barf. Judging by their make a dime at any cost attitude as of late, its not going to stop at merchandise. You can fucking bet Capcom will make a game out of this due to Hello Kitty's popularity in Japan.

Maybe, if they think they can make it work. I think even they would question whether it's a good idea though. Apart from making it like Pocket Fighter, how would it even work? It also has to have enough appeal to sell tons of copies. I don't think there's enough overlap between the two fanbases to do that, let alone enough people who are fans of both and would want a crossover game.

Besides, they never made a game out of the Street Fighter/G.I. Joe merchandising crossover. Did we all forget about that?

I don't see what the big deal is. Capcom is a Japanese company and Hello Kitty is super popular there; it isn't uncommon for Hello Kitty cross overs or special edition stuff.

I mean there was a Hello Kitty Dreamcast set...

Well the big deal was that the OP made it seem like Capcom decided to announce a Street Fighter X Hello Kitty game just days after canceling MML 3 and pissing off thousands of people (if you were too lazy to read the link, like myself).

Still, I think it's pretty possible we'll be seeing a PSN/XBLA/WiiWare game.
