I am going to go on the record as a big Operation C fan. If you make a goal of completing the game without using any cheats, it will keep you occupied for a while (i.e., longer than Kirby's Dream Land by a good bit). I also completed Operation C immediately before tackling Contra 4 (or - I should say - Contra 4 tackled me repeatedly until I crawled across the finish line...). Contra 4 is loaded with Operation C references, and I surely would have missed them if I had not played through Operation C first.

I never heard of the GB Contra and I think it's awesome. Can any of you guys recommend other great GB action titles?

Haha, this thread is epic fail! Funny, hahaha!

You must HATE the GB Mega Man games. Only 4 robot bosses instead of 8? What terrible rip-offs!!!

actually the GB MM games do have 8 robot bosses. You have to beat the first 4 and then a 2nd batch of 4 is presented.

On a side note, I've never played Operation C before. With all these positive reviews, I think I will now do so. Is it too late to substitute it for one of my Snickerd00dle's RPGs?

Ninja Gaiden Shadow was pretty good. Also, the aforementioned Fall of the Foot Clan is fun.

Don't forget Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge! Out of the three on the original Gameboy, it's the best and closest you can get to a handheld original Castlevania experience before the Metroidvania ones on the GBA and DS.
