I forgot to update this last month (what with all the finishing university and all), but despite that, there's not really been much progress. Just lots more unfinished!

I beat Panzer dragoon and Wonder Boy for snickd00dles summer games challenge, but also added Galaxy 2 and advance wars 2 to this list for the same reason. Provided all goes well, they should have left the list by next months update.

Rayman I played for together retro, but got frustrated with it quickly, and then just couldnt be assed to play anymore.

The 5 game gear games I only started playing in short bursts yesterday, when I figured out I could get sound out of the thing if I plugged in speakers and turned them WAY up. I haven't got the tools to replace the capacitors right now... Anyhow, Sonic is ok, and I'll probably sit through it at some point. Halley Wars is fun but hard, so it might stay on the list awhile. Aerial Assault and Ax Battler aren't great, so they'll probably stay there too. Finally, Shinobi (aka The G.G. Shinobi) is fantastic and I imagine I'll play through it enough to beat it sometime this month.

I usually try to stay on top of beating games I start. But I kinda dropped the ball on trying to beat Layer Section at the hardest difficulty this year.

Shadows of the Damned

I was pretty high on it when I started, but as the games goes on the humor gets more and more lame and predictable, the gameplay just starts going through the motions, the darkness gimmick starts to get annoying, and more than anything I started disliking the story

The story pretty much sets feminism back about twenty years. The one significant female character is captured early in the game by the lord of the underworld and becomes your typical damsel in distress. However, worse than this, is that she gets brutally, sadistically and disturbingly murdered over and over and over again throughout the course of the story. Apparently, because the lord of the underworld enjoys it and he also enjoys seeing how it affects the main character. The ways that she dies not only get more and more disturbing, but humiliating as well. You truly get the sense that the people who made the game really got off on finding as many horrible and graphic ways to murder her as possible. Oh, and did I mention that she's pretty much always half naked in lingerie every time you see her in the game and it is heavily implied that she has been raped repeatedly by the lord of the underworld. Not surprisingly, she starts going crazy at times and will actually attack you at some parts of the game

I have never in my life seen a female character treated so horribly in a game before. It's seriously fucking disturbing and the fact that the characters are cracking jokes throughout the game despite the seriously dark things happening in the story was a bit of a turn off to me.

Zombie Zone definetly will not be beaten or played again ever.

1989: Batman for the NES is released to promote the excellent film of the same name released that same year. 2011: I still can't beat the SoB. So close yet again. I could smell the Joker's facepaint.

Same thing with Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos on NES. I can get so freaking far, but I can never beat it. It's so frustrating.

And I love both games so much. One day I will beat these two games. It's on the bucket list.

At first this game was kinda fun and enjoyable, but the more I play it, the more I hate it. World 8 is impossible for me, and I cant figure out how to get to half the world that I skipped somehow.

Oh hey, I forgot to update!

So, not a lot of change this month. I did play a lot, but most of what I played I played all the way through -super punch out, zelda 2, secret of mana - i beat some good stuff, so I'm happy.

Anyhow, simple reasons for these 2 additions - asterix I havent beaten yet, wrecking crew sucks.

This list is getting pretty long though. Maybe I'll start a marathon trying to beat games from this list.
