make sure you keep looking for Indigo Prophecy. It's so awesome.Michi wrote: I wasn't even looking for it when I found it. I went into the store looking for Indigo Prophecy. I couldn't find it (It was probably in one of those evil yellow slip-covers. Screw that) and found this instead. I'm lucky I spotted it at all. Someone had placed it in the 'New' section.

I need to get Omikron, it haves music composed by David Bowieelmagicochrisg wrote:Or Fahrenheit for PAL users...noiseredux wrote:make sure you keep looking for Indigo Prophecy. And yes, if you can, get the PAL version of Indigo Prophecy, there are 2 or 3 edited scenes that are missing from the US version that actually solves 1 or 2 questions in the ending.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Bought a SNES console with all the cords, 2 controllers (one first party, the other third), and 8 games:
Super Adventure Island,
Mickey Mania,
Wigs 2: Aces High,
Super Mario World,
Super Mario Kart,
Super Putty,
Taz-Mania,
and Super Street Fighter II.
It cost me $35 total, found this stuff on Craigslist. Unfortunately, the console is yellowed, and it all smells like cigarette smoke, which hurts the resale value. Anyone have a good method for getting rid of the smell?

I bought a lot of SNES games that smelled like smoke and managed to get the smell off the outsides for the most part. Basically I wrapped them up in dryer sheets (1 or 2 as needed), secured the sheets with rubber bands, and blew a tower fan on them for a few days. I also sprayed febreze in the back of the fan so it was dispersed evenly around the games. Smelled like clean laundry initially and old plastic after a few days.

I guess I'll try that. No solution for the yellow SNES, I assume?coastercrazy10 wrote:I bought a lot of SNES games that smelled like smoke and managed to get the smell off the outsides for the most part. DKCII and III, Super Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, SMAllStars+SMW, Doom, battletoads & double dragon, battletoads in battlemaniacs, Kirby's avalance, kirby's dream course, and two others I'm blanking on ATM. I paid $5 a pop for 12 games, but this was several months ago. Still a great deal after the smoke smell came out.Stark wrote:Cool, get anything good?coastercrazy10 wrote:I bought a lot of SNES games.

^Hope it works out for you. There's something called retrobright and there's a recipe for it online somewhere. I've yet to try it on my dad's SNES, in case it has some adverse effects.

EDIT: they were shaq fu and spiderman. No wonder I couldn't remember them lol.

Hmm, I dunno about that. I'd be worried about ending up with funny spots on the labels.coastercrazy10 wrote:I also sprayed febreze in the back of the fan so it was dispersed evenly around the games.
