Wow it's kind of nuts how weak the FFV PSX OST is compared to the SNES/GBA versions. Totally lacks da power.

Why would French Coke taste any different than ours?Ack wrote:Admittedly while in Germany I visited a McDonalds, but that was mainly to see if and how they were different. I also tried the French version of Coke, which I thought tasted terrible.

I'm sure everything Ack got tasted different. Drinks and food from the same restaurant can taste different across different states and certainly different countries.

I'm pretty sure the Pho Que Huong chain in the Dallas metroplex is open on Sundays, but you'd have a hell of a drive. Definitely wouldn't make it here after work.Hobie-wan wrote:Dammit, I really wanted bun while I was out running errands on Sunday. I was even driving through one of the 'Asian' parts of town and all the pho places were closed. Now I'm thinking about it again and I doubt I'll be able to make it anywhere after work.
@Boring: The Coca-Cola recipe is slightly different in some countries. When I was in Venezuela, it had a slight cinnamon flavor.

That sounds awesome.flamepanther wrote:@Boring: The Coca-Cola recipe is slightly different in some countries. When I was in Venezuela, it had a slight cinnamon flavor.
I can't stand Coke anymore thesedays though to be honest. I used to be really anti-Pepsi, but whenever I drink Coke now all I taste is that thick syrup, don't really get that nasty taste from Pepsi anymore. I still like to have Cherry-Coke everyonce and awhile, though I tend to stay away from dark soda's thesedays anyways.
Sprite forever.

I assumed the recipe was the same everywhere, because I've drank US, Canadian and Mexican coke, and they are all identical except that Mexican Coke uses real sugar as a sweetener. Other than that, the recipe was identical.flamepanther wrote:@Boring: The Coca-Cola recipe is slightly different in some countries. When I was in Venezuela, it had a slight cinnamon flavor.

No, Euro coke can get quite different. French Coke had some strange sweetener that made it taste fruity to me, and not in a way that really suits my palette. The airline stewardess didn't even realize she'd given it to me until I groaned.BoringSupreez wrote:I assumed the recipe was the same everywhere, because I've drank US, Canadian and Mexican coke, and they are all identical except that Mexican Coke uses real sugar as a sweetener. If you ever get the chance though, you should check out the Coke museum in Atlanta, GA. There's some stuff in there that is terrible in their international section, but there are a few that are absolutely awesome.

The good thing about French McDonald's is that they sell beer
That was the only major difference I saw compared to the Australian counterparts.
