that's because Cena threw it to a guy wearing his shirt and hat. he learned his lesson this time.

So HHH is CEO, McMahon is fired, John Cena keeps his job, and a new champion is crowned next week on RAW. Yet the REAL champ is running around holding the REAL championship. This is very reminiscent of Ric Flair keeping the WCW belt after winning it and taking with him to the WWF in the early 90s. Absolutely entertaining as hell when wrestling blurs the line between storyline and reality.

Don't forget this:

Madusa, then WWF Women's Champ taking the women's belt onto WCW Nitro of all places and dropping it into the trash can!
This was the reason Bret got screwed in Montreal!

Oh, yeah. BIG WCW moment right there. I knew about that, just the Ric Flair one stuck out at me more. I guess because his was the World Heavyweight Championship so it carried a lot more respect with it. In fact, at that time, I think the WCW Championship was still being seen as the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, so it actually carried more respect and tradition (at that time at least) than the WWF Championship did.

I remember the WWF kept billing Flair as the NWA champ. I don't believe I heard them mention anything about WCW.

Yeah, I actually recently watched Bret Hard's old late 90's DVD Wrestling with Shadows that covered the whole screw job. But I'm pretty excited for the new DVD coming out with him, Shawn, and JR, finally coming to terms and we'll probably get the pure truth. Shall be interesting.

In the early 90s NWA and WCW were one and the same.

Only thing that would make this a must-see would be if Earl Hebner was included in the round-table.. Was he ever mentioned for this interview?

Not that I know of, but I think I've heard him and Bret have come to terms on the whole debacle. No idea if that's true though.
