I had just picked up a sega saturn and 13 games for 25.00. Since it was the system 3 controllers and 13 games mostly sports but it did have sega rally and virtua fighter 2 I thought it was a sweet deal. I had the system before and I had the system for over 5 years from 98-2002 and I had every u.s title with case and instructions and picked up a 4mb card and grabbed all the fighting imports and castlevania soth import. I loved the machine. I ended up selling everything for only 300.00 and not knowing what I had. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!!
Fast forward to 2011. I thought since the games were so cheap then on ebay and thrift stops I would find some great games I loved and picked them up. WTF happened to all the prices on ebay. They all went up from 25.00-100.00 and panzer dragoon saga went from 70.00 when I bought it new to 200 or so on ebay!!!Even the crap games are now 15.00 and up.
Now I'm stuck. I know about the burning games method but I just want some decent games but the games on ebay are too damn expensive and I never see any games at any thrift stops by my city. Does anyone know where I can get some games besides amazon or ebay?

Re: sega saturn questions
deals can be had, you just have to be on the lookout. especially on ebay. buying in lots will save you money. it's a hazard being a saturn enthusiast.
also, i have a bunch of imports i'd sell to you for pretty cheap

thats the reality of retro games, they just keep getting more pricier.
Best advice is scope out thrift stores, craiglist, and the flea market.

Re: sega saturn questions
Saturn collecting is pretty popular around here, so you are bound to find some deals on some good games if you keep an eye out. Most of the people here are pretty nice and won't try to gouge you.
Flea Markets and Thrift Stores might not be a bad call, but I personally find very little Saturn stuff like that. Ps1/ps2 games galor, and tons of crap carts, but very few Saturn games, and even fewer good ones.
Also, if there is a game you really want to play (like PDS), looking at imports might save you some money. I know the PAL version of PDS goes for far less, and still works the same.
The best part is, if you do invest in a pricey game, its not really too much of a risk. Either you will like it enough to consider it worth they money you spent, or you won't like it, and you can re-sell it/trade it on here for equal value.
Good luck with your Saturn hunting, its quite the console.

I know guy's it was and still is my biggest mistake I had ever made video gamewise. When you see 300 dollars in front of you and you just had a first son, you think about the kid and the wife. That is why I did what I did.AznKhmerBoi wrote:hahah definitly a wut lol![]()

Make an effort to go to garage sales, swap meets etc. They can be hit and miss but they're fun.
