I've been listening to Faun Fables. There's something mystical about their music. It is music that you need to not so much listen to, but rather to inhale and let it seep into your pores. I feel as if I sink into deep forgotten mythology when I listen to this music. As if I'm on a journey to I know not where to find I know not what. Dawn's voice is so enchanting, I could just get lost for hours in her siren song and never care to return to my old life.

I've never had this much genuine excitement for an upcoming album before.
I'm pretty stoked for it, too.

Too much intonation for me, but if my ears weren't such elitist buttnuggets I think I'd love it. I'm serious. The slightest bit of intonation drives me crazy to the point that I can't listen to strings unless they're played in a symphony.

Speaking of symphonies, I'm still on a major Gershwin kick. Both listening and playing on the piano.

Roy Khan's voice, specifically on Love You to Death, is haunting beyond all belief. Gives me shivers every time I listen to that song.

Edit:

This will blow your mind. The vocalist for Rilo Kiley (Jenny Lewis) is the same Jenny Lewis who starred in the Wizard as Haley. I've been listening to More Adventurous recently:

Yeah, she messes with the pitch in some odd ways. It kind of reminds me of Bulgarian women's choirs. She's also trained to yodel and occassionally includes a bit of haunted sounding yodelling into her songs. If the intonation doesn't sit well with you though, I can see why you wouldn't care for it. That's part of why I like her though and I think it's what gives her voice an otherworldly feel to it.
