I'm not big on handhelds myself and I think 3D is just going to be a gimmick like it has been every other time because it causes headaches for people. However I did see something the other day that the DS is outselling the 3DS 2 to 1. That definitely can't be good.

The PS2 was outselling the PS3 by the same margin for a long time--a couple years, if I remember. But look at it now! Nobody is predicting doom for Sony over it anymore. The market is slow to adopt change right now. I've played with the 3DS enough to know it's a great device, 3D or no 3D, so if Nintendo delivers the games, it will do fine.

Nintendo hasn't really had this happen before though where the older system in a line (handheld or console) was outselling the previous model that badly. Well wait, I'd say whether you consider the VB a portable or a console, it happened then too. We'll see if this attempt at 3D gaming fizzles or not. It is still giving people headaches though.

I've heard that ticket sales to the 3d versions of movies are sagging compared to their 2d counterparts. If that's true then, you know, yay.

I would agree for the most part. I've also heard that watching Harry Potter 7:2 in 3D is a must.

well here is the good, the 3D can be turned off and thus you just a plain ds with just better graphics. Problem solved.
