If you ever get in the mood for another tower defense game, make it Defense Grid: The Awakening.Gamerforlife wrote: Plants vs Zombies Game of the Year - PC Steam version
I finished Adventure mode. The game is pretty well designed and funny. There's a ton of content too with the mini-games, puzzles, garden, and going through Adventure mode with new conditions and all of your upgrades. I kind of don't feel like giving stuff scores anymore, so I'll just say that the game is awesome
This is my first tower defense game and I find that it reminds me in some ways of my one and only real time strategy experience with Starcraft. You build resources, create troops and defend your base. Only real difference it seems is that you never get to go on offense and move around a map

I've never actually played the Crash games, my experience with him is just based on his character in advertisements, which always portrayed him as annoying.Xeogred wrote:I think you should honestly give Crash another shot, the first game especially. He's not much of a character, but it's a really weird... different kind of platformer, since it's level based and pseudo 2D/3D at times. I just can't say I've seen very many other 3D platformers quite like it. LONG game though, I don't think I've ever actually finished it.
It almost seemed like you beat Gex in one sitting though, lol. How long was it and the Spyro games?
Gex...well, technically, I left the game on for three days and just went through it whenever I had a chance to sit down, so you could say I did just shoot straight through. The Spyro games are all pretty short too, even when going for 100% completion. You could probably beat them all in under a week if you weren't doing anything else.
Re: Games Beaten : 2011
I doubt Crash would annoy you more than the likes of Gex.
This may have changed since then, but in the original three games Crash was silent.

Oh man, I loved Crash in advertisements back in the day and those hilarious real life suits. He always reminded me of Sonic or something with that kind of edgy badass attitude, unlike Mario or whatever.
As CFFJR said though, I don't' even think he talks anyways. I'll take a bet now and say you'll dig the Crash games Ack.
(least the first one which I love).
Crash Team Racing was amazing as well, pretty much the PSX Mario Kart / Diddy Kong Racing.

Could be some jaded memories of mine, I probably haven't played that game in 10+ years. lol

Fair enough. I was watching her play and I recognised some levels I had a hell of a time with back when I was 8, but she was breezing through them now. I guess my memories of it were wonky too!Xeogred wrote:Could be some jaded memories of mine, I probably haven't played that game in 10+ years. lol
That said, I only played it briefly with my cousin. I didn't have a playstation until recently!

I specifically remember those weird bridge levels were scary, haha.
Re: Games Beaten : 2011
Man I wouldn't for the life of me be able to recall what I finished this year; but a couple of days ago I finished Donkey Kong '94 in 24 hours. It was my first playthrough.
I talk about movies on Letterboxd and on a blog called Back Row.
