Someone else mentioned that Capcom is the Activision of Japan. I would agree wholeheartedly. I read through a few pages of the comments on the announcement page and they absolutely crushed hundreds of people, if not thousands. I really hope Capcom starts feeling something as a result of their terrible decisions because I haven't heard good news regarding them in at least a year. Another company to stop buying games from, for me at least.

Nintendo's a pro at that. "Let's license this so nobody else can and never do anything with it!"CFFJR wrote:I hadn't thought of that, and I hope you're right. I also hope that Capcom wouldn't stand in the way of such a thing happening.

Re: Megaman legends 3 Cancelled
I was going to use this game to get into the series. I guess that's not gonna happen.
Re: Megaman legends 3 Cancelled
This kills all desire I had to get a 3DS. Well, at least that's $250 I won't have to spend.
Honestly, if Nintendo had their head on straight, they'd take over and finish MML3 themselves.
While this makes me angry at Capcom on the whole, as long as their fighting game division is still going like it has been, I'll be fine buying those titles. I'm just not going to buy anything else from Capcom - which is less of a 'boycott' thing as it is a 'these games are utter shit so I will not spend money on them' sort of thing.
While, on one hand, there was the possibility that MML3 without Inafune would end up like Devil May Cry without Kamiya or Resident Evil without Mikami (read: utter shit), the amount of love I saw in the development concept art and demos made me think otherwise. It's a real shame, as this definitely looked like a gem.
All I know is this: If Capcom blocks a Mega Man game from being released for fear of it not making money, there's absolutely no way we're going to be seeing a new Darkstalkers.

A scam to sell the 3DS? That doesn't make any sense. Capcom has little invested in the 3DS. What's the point of selling systems for Nintendo if they're going to cancel the games they were developing for it?XxBroBuzzxX wrote:4chan isn't the most trustworthy place on the internet, but holy shit:

Well if such a conspiracy were true, I imagine that they would do so with the hopes of selling the multiple resident evil games they have going for the system.
I mean, if that was the plan from the start, then you could argue that Legends was never in development at all.
Not that I believe the story mind you, I'm just saying.

What are the biggest titles on the 3DS right now?
Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil: Mercenaries, Zelda: OoT.
As a hardcore Capcom fan, SF4 and RE:M were not enough to get me to buy a 3DS. However, if I knew MML3 were coming, they'd certainly be on the top of my list to tide me over until it came out.
As for Zelda - who made Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap? It's a long shot, but Capcom has reasons to see Zelda fans flock to a portable system, because at least two portable Zelda games have been outsourced to Capcom.
Re: Megaman legends 3 Cancelled
Capcom also made the Oracles of Seasons and Ages, while you're at it.

Re: Megaman legends 3 Cancelled
That's still kind of weak. But supposing that was the actual case, then if they thought the game was going to be that big of a draw, they would also want to release and sell that too.
Personally, I think it's a ruse from a fan to increase anger at Capcom.
