I have Disgaea 1 & 2. I don't think the 1st one ever needed a sequel. You could play the first Disgaea for most of your life and never really see everything the game has to offer.

Y'KNOW that's sort of how I was thinking about it too. Like I should really stick with the first. And really, do I have time for another outside of that?

I liked Disgaea 2 better personally. I thought the gameplay was better balanced and I actually liked the characters. I know some people didn't enjoy the story, but I did.

I love the Disgaea series, but they are way too time consuming and I just don't like how sequel happy it's getting. So many great original IPs out there to check out, it's getting harder to stay motivated enough to play sequels unless it's a FIRST sequel to a great original game like a Dead Rising 2 or a Batman Arkham City.

I have interest but I really didn't like 2 or 3. The first one was pretty sweet but I dunno. There's too many other games to play. Perhaps sometime down the road.
