Cities in Italy are merely palette swapped.
LOL!
Nice joke.
I just want to get some publicity in for Portugal - there are some wonderful destinations either on the mainland or archipelagos (Azores and Madeira) and it's decently cheap compared to some of these in the alleged Top 10. Some of the places are actually not too "touristy" if you are not into mainstream destinations (but if you want the typical touristy places, there is Algarve and Madeira as well where you will practically not feel a language barrier).
i dont see why these other places wouldnt be too touristy, i mean they are afforable and offer alot of history,scenery,relics,etc... just like any other country out there.

I think it is fair to say the majority of the places in the OP's top 10 are extremely touristy, and it is quite possible that 9 or even all 10 are extremely touristy.
If they are "too" touristy for you or me depends on personal preference so I really can't comment further. I mean for many people they WANT it to be extremely touristy (and there is nothing wrong with that preference), which is probably why this top 10 list is loaded with such places.
