went looking for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus (PS2) at a GS that had it in stock today -- BUT it was disc-only, so fuck that.

You realize you sent me a complete GameCube copy of that game not three months ago.

Well yeah, but that was back when it sucked.

I acquired 4 SEALED TG-16 games and 3 loose games for only 5 dollars each at a thrift store. They still have the original store tags and back shelf holders on the sealed games. They were priced at $15 each, but I persuaded the clerk to lower them to $5 by convincing him that they were 'old floppy disks' that 'require special hardware' and that they would never sell for $15 each.

i could see if the games were marked at 150 dollars a pop. but, it is 15 dollars...for a brand new game retro game. also, he told the guy they wouldn't sell. LIES!!! i guarantee if he wouldn't have bought those somebody else would have 5 minutes later.

if you are gonna do stuff like that, at least keep it to yourself.

Clearly thrift stores should only hire people with perfect memory that know the value of every product the size of a king sized bed and smaller from the last 75 years as that's the range of stuff they're likely to be carrying.

There's nothing wrong with not knowing the price of everything. But if you don't know, then don't sell it for 1/3 the price, but stick to what's on the price tag. Come on, how hard can it be...

I guess if you're having a garage sale with your parents/spouse/roomate and have some of your stuff for sale, you'd just sigh and go 'oh well' if you went inside to take a dump and someone convinced the person watching the stuff that something was only really worth 1/3 of the asking price huh?
