Dark Knight Rises is going to be the last one directed by Christopher Nolan and the last one in that continuity.

Whether Christian Bale ends up in the reboot that happens after that is anyone's guess. We literally know nothing about the reboot outside of 'there will be a reboot'.

Nolan says he would never consider directing another Batman after Rises, but "never say never".

Speaking of reboots, I'm getting a lot of flak for not liking the casting choice for Peter Parker. Every shot I've seen of the movie looks dumb and to a certain extent "Twilight-ish". But editing can change a lot of that. I wonder how the Gwen Stacy character makes out by the end of the movie.

In all honesty, I wouldn't mind if they knock off MJ and leave Gwen as the love interest.

With all that in mind, the new costume design isn't that awful, but it's still pretty bad:

Which Batman movie was it where we were supposed to be impressed by Robin doing his laundry? That's one of the most laughable movie scenes of all time.

Truly cringe worthy I think george clooney was batman in that one they realy messed up the batman films for a while there I think that was part of the reason I liked the last one so much because I realy was not expecting much.

The only reason to have the reboot is to set up for the Justice League movie and I really don't think this Batman would fit in that universe.

Maguire was fine in 1 and 2. The new Spider-man casting and design looks like shit.

I think I am done with comic book movies unless I really like a director's previous work. When I think back to the deluge of comic book movies over the past decade or so, there's very few I really enjoy and each of those had directors with previous excellent films under their belt.

I can't stand Garfield either... I don't care what anyone says, I liked Tobey Maguire. He wasn't perfect, but he was good.
