Don't think of it as "Why does a disc only cost as much as a CIB game" But "Hey I can get a CIB game for as cheap as a disc only version!".

Generally speaking a good portion of used ps2 games are cheaper than you can find at amazon or ebay. A good example: Sky Gunner - PS2 costs $3.99 at gamestop. $13.95 + $3.99 shipping cheapest on Amazon. $19.99 cheapest on Ebay/$15 cheapest completed auction.

Now whether or not you find this game at gamestop cib or disc only its still the cheap price of $4, granted you'll probably never find the game cib at gamestop, I was just lucky.

I can name a lot more examples too. On recent releases, yes, online websites will probably be cheaper than Gamestop. But on the older games I find gamestop prices are generally better than other retailers. Thats the whole reason that them throwing away cases bothers me so much, it makes their prices less enticing and online sources prices go up for cib.

I challenge all of you to find a cib copy of Klonoa 2, ps2 for less than $5 for sale. Dual Hearts cib for less than $3. Tokyo Beat down for less than $6, Contact cib less than $5.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
