For me, I think I will never reach this, as I want to find the right amount of space that I can afford. I'm sure many guys here can agree that your wife is totally cool for letting you have a huge VG room in the basement.
Did you cut a deal with the ms.?
Thanks so much! There is tons of more things I've really wanted to do, but money constraints have held me back. I'm going to have to put up some more major shelving quite soon though.
My wife isnt a gamer in the least. She loves that I have a hobby that I'm passionate about and often tries her best (as misguided as it is sometimes

) to support me in it. As long as I stick within my measly gaming budget each pay period (which I always have) I dont think I'll get any flack from her. She is even cool with stuff spilling out of my game room if needed. My only real restriction is to keep the super nerdy stuff (arcade cabs/posters and the like) to the basement area of our home. We do have our Wii, 360 and PS3 all hooked up upstairs though. She found a spot to hid our Wii Fit Balance Board and even rearranges the living room to suite our Kinect needs.
As much time and effort as I put into gaming I've made it very clear to her that she needs to let me know if I ever get to the point where she feels I am neglecting my family duties or she needs extra help around the home that I'm not picking up on. I've been able to strike a balance with it so far and it hasnt been an issue since I've known her. I did spook her once when we first started living together though. I told her in advance I was super excited for a game coming out (Xenosaga III), that I had even booked a few days off work to play it. I beat the entire game over a 3 day period with very little sleep. She definitely found that a bit odd at the time
How many wife's do you know though that would give the ok to buy something like a Stadium Events? I've got it pretty good
