racket's First Website

Just in case anybody cares, take a look at my very first web project, Calvin and Hobbes MaDnEsS:
http://web.archive.org/web/200001200639 ... s/main.htm

It doesn't exist anymore except via The Wayback Machine on Archive.org
Their earliest copy is from 1999, but its still fun for me to go back and look at it.

I gave up on it because I got tired of having to change a bunch of stuff on every page when I wanted to change the design. This was before CSS and dynamic pages were popular.

I started this thing in 1997 when I was 17 because I was facinated by how easy it was to type some HTML in notepad and be able to post it on this "new" thing called the "Web" and have the whole world see it. I was on a big Calvin and Hobbes kick at the time, so the topic seemed natural.

I actually got a pretty decent amount of traffic since it was one of the better fan sites on the topic.

It's very weird to think that I've been a "web publisher" for nine years already...
