Bit.Trip series
Blast Works
Cave Story
Fishie Fishie
Furry Legends (which is a follow-up to the old Fury of the Furries on DOS)
Lost Winds
Max and the Magic Marker
Nyx Quest/Icarian
Toribash
World of Goo
And Yet It Moves

...and many, MANY others. Just look around the WiiWare library--since indie games are exactly what WiiWare is meant for

Its a fair cop, I guess.

But most of those examples are available on the PC now as well.
(And I own most of those on the PC too! XD)

I'll probably come back to the wii eventually and pick up the few games I missed out on, but I'm in no real hurry.
(Large backlog, lots of great 3DS releases to spend money on, got some other games on the wishlist)

I don't think that's quite right. Sony is only beginning to plan the PS4 (or whatever they want to call it) and originally didn't even intend to release a new console until the PS3 was about ten years old. I don't think Sony (or consumers) can afford the cost of boosting the hardware specs by as much as they're accustomed to doing in the past, narrowing the gap from that end. Nintendo is also narrowing the gap from their end by making the Wii U considerably more powerful than the PS3. I think the difference will be more akin to Dreamcast compared to the original XBOX, but less visible to the player.

Yes, but it's still great indie support. If I claimed the 360 had no support from major third-parties, you could easily give me a long list of great games from those third-parties that would only scratch the surface of their support. I could be dismissive and state that most of those games are available on the PC, but you would still have proven me wrong. :)

Worst system I still own?

RCA Studio II, hands down (literally!). In order to play it, I have to disconnect the cable tv and futz around with channel settings. The controls consist entirely of buttons on the unit itself. In order to control the games, which are only in black and white, I must find something to prop the unit up on or play it lying down on my stomach, at an angle if somebody else is playing it with me. When playing it, the short power and hookup cables necessitate sitting/hunching/lying within inches of the television screen, while the tinny and buzzy Mono-only sound is being blasted right into my face from the unit itself. There is no way to adjust the volume.

But surely the games are fun, right? No, they aren't. You'd think that games with such exciting names as 'Fun with Numbers' and 'Math Quiz' would be a blast, but you would be surprisingly mistaken for assuming so. I have no other games for the system, which I play sometimes to remind myself just how good I have it with other systems and that not everything in the old days was better. Still, I do have a sort of affection for the system I've nicknamed 'RC', though it is as much 'so bad it's good' as it is anything else...

Math Blaster is the only "fun" math game in my book.

There are some fun math games, the old Number Munchers game for the Apple II comes to mind. Luckily, it can be played online for free, along with all other Apple II games, by Firefox users here:

As for Fun with Numbers, the only Fun to be found with that game involves watching somebody else grow frustrated and bored with it...

Flower, Sun And Rain is also a fun math-related game.

Fuck yeah, I used to play that all the time, but it's on Windows too. I used to play Word Munchers constantly too. Was pretty young though, in like Elementary School.
