Well if she plays Gwen Stacy it makes sense, but isn't she playing MJ?noiseredux wrote:I don't know why Emma Stone would get rid of that lovely red hair.Luke wrote:Pics from the new Spidey:

I think I'm in the vast minority of people who don't like the look, but hey, I just don't like it.

I don't like the new costume changes either. But I'll still go to the theater and watch it because I love Spider-Man comics.
And yeah, Emma Watson has MORE than a passing resemblence to Gwen Stacy in those pics.

It's probably been said a hundred times in this thread already but I'm not gonna go through 450 odd pages to find but, why the fuck does a movie that is barely a decade old need a reboot?elmagicochrisg wrote:Luke wrote:Peter Parker has been replaced with a A&F model who wears a suit made out of basketballs.
Anyways, Last night I watched Rango. I liked it. That is all.

Because they messed up the 3rd one but people want more spiderman movies. I would have preferred they kept going on with the raimi ones so that they could have ended on a good note, but I understand why they're starting over.Droid party wrote:It's probably been said a hundred times in this thread already but I'm not gonna go through 450 odd pages to find but, why the fuck does a movie that is barely a decade old need a reboot?elmagicochrisg wrote:Luke wrote:Peter Parker has been replaced with a A&F model who wears a suit made out of basketballs.

The costume is a little too cool for school looking, but the more dramatic texture will probably make it stand out more during the action scenes. Spiderman tended to look too plasticy and shiny during the CG sequences of the first 3.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I don't mind the costume and I quite like that Garfield kid. As far as the Raimi films go, the only thing that needed to happen there was that the studio needed to butt the hell out and let Raimi do his job like they did for the first 2. Problem solved. All this rebooting of franchises is pissing me off. Batman needed it but Spiderman didn't, it just needed a direction that wasn't controlled by suits making their decisions based on what test groups want rather than letting their own team of film makers do their job.Jrecee wrote: Because they messed up the 3rd one but people want more spiderman movies. I mean we remember our favorite films made by Spielberg, Cameron,Lucas, etc. When was the last time someone remembered their favorite film made by a comity of their "peers".

Sucker Punch. Wow. It's like the crackhead, acid-dropping lovechild of the Powerpuff Girls and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and that's not a reference to the fact that Emily Browning was in ASoUE and SP. And who loved her cover version of Sweet Dreams? It's so haunting and has replaced the Marilyn Manson cover as my fave SD cover.
And the '09 quasi-remake of Fame. I still like it, but I'll never elevate it beyond like.
