I Was Hacked

I just had my PayPal account hacked, and as a result my bank account is now compromised. It sucks. Now I can't use my debit card. I have to cancel like everything connected to my bank account and reapply. And I have to pay for everything in cash. I forgot how annoying it is to have to go to the bank everytime you want to buy something.

At least they didn't steal my identity. And they only made off with one $100 purchase before PayPal caught it. We're also good enough members at my bank that they automatically reversed the charge once we explained everything. They're investigating it now. I hope the bastards go to prison.

That's fucked up. This isn't the first case I've heard of very recent attacks on PayPal either.

Don't have a clue. They're investigating it. All I know is that there was a purchase (that was a recurring payment plan purchase) on my PayPal account. And PayPal actually caught it before me.

I got hacked before, but the idiot never was able to purchase anything with my Paypal account. Somehow, the guy got into my account, and tried to change the password. The password change challenges you to renter the current password, then the new password. Somehow, the guy failed reentering my current password 3 times, and got my account locked.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said that you should know if your password is strong or not. Having a weak password on your account is akin to leaving your credit card on the ground. Of course only criminals would steal it, but you've made it the low hanging fruit.
