I'd get it asap, if it's still available.

That is one piece I was looking for myself. I've always been a few mins too late to nab one.
This collection of games is not owned by a collector, so there isn't a big attachment. It is a person that acquired it from a co-worker or some strange story they told me; so this is just a person who looked up a few items on eBay and has held on to their price.
I'll likely get back in touch with them and shoot them an offer and see where they're at.

Man, I never realized how in demand SegaCDs are, especially compared to 32Xs.

It comes and goes in waves. If you look at this chart: http://videogames.pricecharting.com/gam ... me-console
you'll see what I mean. Average price in June '09 is $31, then it spikes up to $90 in December '10. Back down to $39 this April, and right now it's expensive again. If you wait a few months, I'm sure the price and demand will drop again.

^That's because they all break down at once =P
I say, if you have the money and a pawn shop around, you probably can buy it and dump all the stinkers for more than you paid for them.
If not, I think it's not worth it. Most of the games on the list will be a hard sell, from the top of my head, only the Phantasy Star games along with Out of This World, Ecco and two or three other titles are worth anything.
So yeah. If you can get rid of all the stinkers, no questions asked, go ahead. If not, I would lowball them.

Well, I made contact again and it looks like they are firm at $350. I'm guessing $300 might be the magic number as he seemed possibly open to negotiating.
Doing some math right off the bat 30-40 games will be worth nothing (sports) so based on 219 games, 180 or so will be sell able at $300 its 1.60 or so a game. Selling all games in theory at $2 each could net $360-370. I wouldn't sell every game for that price but theoretical profit to be made on games alone.
For some reason I'm kind of nervous spending that much on Genesis stuff, just the lack of big ticket games makes me kind of unsure. If there was a game like M.U.S.H.A. in there I'd have no problem.
EDIT: just got an email saying $300 buys it. Hmmm...

If these are truly all CIB I would buy some $60+ worth off of you at the outset if that makes you feel better.

Re: I Passed on 200+ CiB Genesis Games, Mistake?
You can count on me to pick up a couple of games as well.

I get the feeling you might be buying most of the games I'd be keeping for my self.

I'll let you know though.
