I agree it's nuts, but FFXIII-2 looks pretty good to me.

It's just silly and proof that SE needs to stop with the multiple Final Fantasy / Kingdom Heart developments at the same time. We were hearing about this around the time XIII itself was being revealed and now we know it's barely been a major focus for them this entire time. XIII took a lot of time and financing, and didn't sound THAT successful, XIV was an outright flop in every regard, and now we're instantly getting a sequel to XIII before this? Then there's Final Fantasy Type-0 (which looks pretty good, but of course it's PSP only! ...) All that makes no sense to me at all.

From the very beginning, Versus sounded way more intriguing than FFXIII itself to me.

And rumors have always been that you KH fans won't get KH3 (outside of the dozen of spinoffs already) until after this game is completed since it's the same key developers, so ... maybe expect KH3 in 2020?

And destructoid even has quotes from Nomura in that article, once again... who the hell let this guy practically take over this company?

I read a while ago that SE was going to do a major internal re-structuring, because they realized they suck. Apparently, the re-structuring didn't include Versus XIII.

if SE is smart enough to NOT charge a subscription for FFXIV when it finally lands on consoles, then they stand a chance to redeem that one. We'll see.

How would that fix a terrible game though?

(okay I haven't actually played it, but I've heard from friends it's terrible and most people prefer FFXI, which I still personally have no interest in whatsoever... not an MMO fan. I still think it's the dumbest thing ever SE decided to include these MMO titles in the main line of the series).

PS: I don't know if this was better here or in General Gaming, I guess if someone wants to move it or not that's cool.

personally when a game is deemed "terrible" I'm just as interest in it as when it's deemed "amazing."

Bah, how annoying. I'm actually interested in Versus, and the notion that an actual conclusion to Kingdom Hearts is only getting further away is incredibly frustrating.

I should probably just forget about it entirely, and if something actually comes out, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
