I hope you enjoy Hobo, it's pretty hilarious, it's a Troma film that isn't made by Troma.ujnhunter wrote:Next up on my Double Feature Movie Night will be Hobo With A Shotgun and Amer on Blu-ray! Should be fun!

I am just finishing up Stealing Harvard. It was quite a bit better than I expected.

Honestly mate, give it a shot. You might like it. I just wasn't in the mood for it.Hobie-wan wrote:Well that's disappointing. I remember seeing a trailer for it and wanting to watch it.Battlefield Baseball is...Japanese. It's pretty ridiculous and pretty terrible. The entire time we watched it, I would wait for something ridiculous to happen and would then lean over to a friend and demand to know "How is this better than Hawk the Slayer?"

Me too, actually! I thought it was kind of slow; all just to build up to his big confession at the end. However, Duvall's amazing character acting really made this film a joy to watch! I'm a huge Bill Murray fan, so as he was the main draw for me in choosing this film - I wasn't let down..CFFJR wrote:Just watched this tonight:

I can see how you felt it was slow, but I was honestly pulled in enough by the characters that it went by pretty quick for me.
Duvall really made it though. He was great throughout, but the confession scene was just fantastic.
Bill Murray did an excellent job as well. I loved the conversation with Buddy about the money in the hearse.
It goes back and forth from being funny to being kinda depressing, but it works well.

Just a heads up, Diablo Cody may be writing a new EVIL DEAD script. Rami and Campbell are supposedly in the works to revamp the franchise (I enjoyed DRAG ME TO HELL, and think a sequel would do) but Bruce will not be starring as Ash.
Rumors are Joel McHale (of The Soup) may be the next lead in the EVIL DEAD franchise, which I'm all for.

sounds awesome. I also loved Drag Me To Hell. I think Raimi should always be at the helm of horror. And I'd be okay with Cody writing -- I actually thought Jennifer's Body was surprisingly awesome.Luke wrote:Just a heads up, Diablo Cody may be writing a new EVIL DEAD script.
