Anyone Know Anyone Who Makes Custom Console Dust Covers.
I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who makes or sells custom console dust covers. I think it would be a great idea to have dust covers for all my game systems with the systems emblem on top or in front of the cover. I'm sick of fighting the never ending dust battle plus I'm sure it would prolong the life of the system not having a lot of dust enter the system. If anyone does know anyone could you please tell me where and if they make covers for PS2 Slim, PS3, 360, Wii, Dreamcast, Saturn, Gamecube, PS1, and possibly Virtual Boy. I have looked everywhere with no luckand I'm Begining to think I have a millon dollar idea!! Or maybe thers a reason why no one does. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

If you are talking about a vinyl or cloth dust cover, that itself is easy if you have access to a sewing machine and a little skill. The logo may take a little more work, but could probably be done with iron-on transfer sheets for ink jet printers. Don't know how that would work with vinyl, but for cloth it should be great. It you were talking about hard plastic covers, that would be more work. If I had the time, I would be half tempted to try making a vinyl or pleather cover.

Cloth should work fine. And once the cloth cover becomes dusty, throw it in the washer.
Atari 2600 (AV mod), NES, SNES (region switch for PAL), Virtual Boy, Gamecube, Wii (D2CKey), PSX (Stealth V), PS2 (independence exploit w/ 160 GB HDD), Goldstar 3DO, Philips CD-i, Dreamcast, Saturn (racketboy's chip), Sega Genesis 2 + CD2 + 32X + Power Base Converter, Game Gear.
This one is for thoes still in school or have access to decent kit, I am not sure how well this would work but here is my crazy idea, get an old / dead console identical to the one that you want the dust cover for (unless you are feeling brave), then you could use that as a template in a vacuum former to make a clear plastic shell that fits over the console, should it have very irregular edges you may need to use clay to smooth / sngles these to make the mould better. Once this is done trim the shell out of the sheet and then vut slots at the back to allow for the cables.
Sure you cant pack it away nicely but you can at leaast protect the console and leave it proudly on display. If they do UV filtering platic it should aslo protect against fading

That's a pretty neat idea, but probably not very cost-effective.
Using cloth wouldn't be bad. It would be a tad cheaper, and you'd be able to get it in more styles or use old fabric you might have...At the school my mom teaches at, they all use cloth to cover their computers over the summer break. It works well even over a 2/3 month period. The upside to vinyl would be spillage protection, say if it got hit with some water/drink, it wouldn't soak through the vinyl like it would the cloth. Plus the vinyl is going to protect better from light damage, etc...plus, if it's done right, I think vinyl would give a more polished result.
