Why do people tend to go to the beach in June/July/August when the summer heat is at its worst?

Which sucks.

Its not like they appreciated it. It seems they only made 1000 of those white systems. How many do you suppose they sold? 200?

Don't ask me. I prefer to go in fall/winter. Of course the water's usually freezing by then, but after a few minutes you don't really notice anyway. Plus, far fewer people. (But just as much sunscreen.....I burn really easily :( )

In one episode they challenged themselves to make breakfast in which Jack Daniels was a key ingredient in everything. In another they made 4-Loco chili, which could only be eaten with a paddle. And in another, they made the largest fortune cookie you'll ever see.
Do they ever challenge themselves to make something worth eating?

Cooking was my life for almost a decade, so I'm a bit biased, but I just have no interest in what they consider to be "epic" (dear God I can't wait for that word to go away).

I mean, making breakfast with JD is a challenge? Um...Pour it in a glass and drink.
Seriously, I would start off with:
Irish Coffee
Pancakes with a reduced JD syrup
Whisky infused pork sausage
Fresh fruit with a whisky whipped cream
And two Tylenol

But I've only watched that one clip, so possibly the bags of douche on the show have some merit, but I certainly didn't see it.
So their comedy is being "bags of douche" and your elitism isn't(and face it, you are being elitist about it)?

These guys made candied bacon. That's all I need.

I don't think me not liking a show qualifies me as a bag of douche. As I mentioned, sure, I am biased but wouldn't consider myself an elitist. I may have never earned a James Beard award, but I would consider myself a qualified food critic. This show is more about entertainment than food, which most food shows are about these days anyway, and I don't see any merit to it.

But we can all agree there can never be too much bacon, even in toothpaste.

True, but at least a little bit of what they do might actually interest you, as it comes down to experimentation in the kitchen. Sure, much of their ingredients can be pretty nasty, and their presentation can be grating if you think they're trying to be serious, but they're not. They're a comedy cooking show that originated on YouTube in Canada. They became popular for the pure ridiculousness of their behavior and their food. They're here not to teach us how to make cheesesticks covered in crushed Doritos and fried in beer-batter, but to make us laugh at the thought that someone actually would make that...and then eat it.

Hell, if anything these guys are making fun of those cooking shows you're talking about. And I doubt you'll ever see Paula Deen use a siphon and her mouth to inject barbecue sauce into the center of her burgers.
