I agree, you'd probably like it.
really? How come? Besides the name being familiar, I don't really know anything about the game.
JRPG with heavy tactical elements, awesome artwork and sound, and its share of Japanese quirkiness.

It's a turn based strategy game with a neat graphics engine (everything looks like it's done in watercolors) and is a unique take on turn based strategy. When you select to move your guy you now operate in real time. You can move a certain distance based on your movement bar, can take one shooting action, and the whole time you're moving around enemies can take pot shots at you (and the same rules apply for your enemies). It's a fresh take on the turn based strategy genre. You can snag the demo off of the PSN, though it really only shows how the combat system works; it doesn't go in to the story, which is pretty good.

I had some frustrations with the gameplay, but I agree it's worth checking out. It's sort of like, "What if we mixed third person shooter and strategy rpg gameplay together and had it take place in a World World II inspired setting and story?"

Yeah, the graphics are just damn beautiful and the game also supports lots of DLC by the way and it's GOOD DLC with SUBSTANCE

....and should it be to your liking, you'll be happy to know that it has TWO sequels on the PSP and an anime series

It really is right up your alley, noise. I played it, too and loved every second; the combat is intuitive, fun, and fresh. The art style is very unique and eye-pleasing, and every character in the game has a voice actor. It is a highly-polished, well-made game.

As for Catherine, I didn't really have much interest in the game until I played the demo this morning. Immediately after playing the demo, I rushed out to preorder it. :P
