I'm specifically avoiding the demo so when the game arrives I can play it fresh.

Eh. The JPN demo was just like a cutscene and a puzzle sequence. Unless you haven't even laid a single stare at the gameplay and want every cutscene to be 100% fresh, you don't have anything to worry about.

I've seen pictures, but have not watched any actual gameplay footage.
