Ticked: I've been on prescription pills to clear up some skin irritation resulting from some kind of poison exposure last week. The pills worked great at healing my skin, but come with this wicked insomnia side-effect which is keeping me up all hours. I don't sleep a lot in the first place, but a week of only cathching 3-4 hours a night will surely take its toll soon

Smile: Another kayaking expedition this morning, delicious food during the day, and lots of productive writing this evening.

Frown: Laryngitis
This sucks. I can barely speak, and when I do it feels like I have sandpaper in my throat.
Another frown: On the way home back from work yesterday I got stuck behind a DOT truck going 45 in a 55 zone. I passed him legally, barely breaking 58 to get around him. So, of course, he started going about 62 and tailing my ass. He followed me to a gas station, rolled down his window and informed me how "stupid" I was. His exact words were "You so stupid. You drive so stupid. What's your problem?".
If I could have yelled, I would have. In a whisper, I responded "You were going 10 under the limit, and after I passed you, you tailed me. Who is stupid in this case?"
I should have asked "Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?".
I don't get it. Why do people get pissed off when someone passes them? I don't tailgate people, and I won't even ride a cars ass if they go the speed limit. But jeez, if you are 10 under the limit, I'll be passing you.

I don't know dude - i'm pretty damn happy and I don't think i'm missing out on anything save: a large bill, a massive time-suck on the latest apps I didn't know I needed before they existed, my mom/wife/girlfriend asking me "Why didn't you answer your cell phone?" all the time, and the cancer...don't forget the cancer.noiseredux wrote:now that's just silly.mjmjr25 wrote:

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
nah I'm not one of those iPhone creeps. But I hate TALKING on the phone. So I love that people call my cellphone, I ignore it, and then text back "what's up?" and then they tell me briefly what they wanted instead of the whole "whatcha doing? How's everything? Blah blah smalltalk thing."
I'm not into apps and all that shit. But I do use my phone to check my email when I'm out and also for mp3's in my car.

I've never had a cell phone either. Why spend money on a phone and a phone bill that I can spend on games and DVDs? Also, my house had terrible phone reception anyway, so it's better to use a land line. And I hate talking on the phone anyway.
