A Request for Ack- Koudelka - A PS1 Horror RPG

Ack I'd like to see this in your horror game blog sometime.



You navigate through the haunted castle (or wherever it is) in RE styled pre-rendered backgrounds. It really feels like Resident Evil until you get into battles.


The game has random battles. The battles are turn based and your characters and the enemies have the ability to move around on a small grid so some strategy comes into play.


Overall its a pretty cool game albeit a little expensive. Check it out Ack. It is compatible with epsxe.

Ah, I've heard of Koudelka. It's technically a precursor to the Shadow Hearts series. I believe you can get firearms as weapons, but they all have limited ammunition too.

As for the blog...yeah, I need to update it. I just get caught up in other stuff and forget about it for months at a time. I think my last entry was...last year? I didn't realize folks were actually reading it...

I was hoping you'd update it some time, and koudelka is one i've never played before but own so it'd be awesome to see your thoughts on that one.

I played this game after playing Shadow Hearts and really enjoyed it, but I've never come across a retail copy.

Koudelka is actually IN the first Shadow Hearts. If I recall cirrectly, Shadow Hearts was being designed as a ps1 sequel initially.

I used to have this game a long time ago, but it Got stolen from me

I was all the way up till the 3rd disc.

It was an interesting game, although frustrating sometimes.

I wouldn't mind finding it again.
