Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It's stuff like this that drives up the price of my collecting habit!

Seriously, items that were mass produced in the millions should not be associated with such high prices. I don't care if they are sealed.

Sealed game purchase = waste of money
Games are to be played, not looked upon unless you're talking about something unplayable, like my original Zelda for the disk system which was super cheap 'cause it's a dead disk - now it just looks pretty.

I hate sealed games. someone here on the forums was lucky enough to get a boxed SOR from me for cheap. I originally planned on tossing the game box and contoller. Just about none of my games have a box or manual. Only just covers.

I don't own any sealed games, though from Playstation on I keep the box, the manual, and anything else that came with the game. As for cartridges, I don't have any of the original boxes or manuals. I always felt the cartridge itself was far more important.

Sealed games are usually just for collectors only. But having a sealed copy of your favorite game is kinda cool. Especialy if it's something from you childhood. I'd love to have a sealed copy of Ninja Gaiden of Zelda just to display. Some people are just crazy though, I've got a friend with a sealed NES set with Robbie and gyromite with the original reciept. Thats obsession. And the prices they fetch are absurd. Come on!!! Its a game not a friggin diamond. Although I'd rather have games......

To me having a complete copy of a game is was more important. Cd format is absolutely necessary. And cart games on genesis and ms is very prefered cause they have nice hard cases. SNES manual are nice, but it's soo easy to damage the boxes, you just have to lock them up and keep the carts seperately. But on NES I could care less. The manuals don't even tell you much and the boxes really fall apart. But it's all subjective, much like art, and I think most of us agree that video games are an art or we would be spending some much time posting in this forum.

I miss the days of getting new snes and gameboy games and being so excited to open them... I can't believe I got rid of all my games to get new stuff.

I wouldn't spend that much to relive the feeling of opening new snes games though.
