What game do you own the most versions/copies of?
Re: Do you own more than one copy or version of a game?
I own Mega Man X-X8 (excluding X7), but still picked up the PS2 collection just because I love those collections. Same deal with the Sonic collections, I own most of those games on the Genesis but it's nice having them all in one. I have the Mega / Gems collection as well as the newest Sonic Ultimate Genesis collection or whatever.
I own every Final Fantasy on the PSX (black labels across the board!) but also own FFII(US) and FFIII(US) on the SNES, just because it's nice to have them and in FFVI's case I prefer the SNES version for no loading and such. I own a few of the handheld ports as well, just recently played and finished FFIV Complete on the PSP and it's just nice to have these on the go, even though I don't take my handhelds out much. I guess I'm a sucker for the OLD FF ports here and there.
I own SoTN on the PSX as well and XBLA, sometimes (well back when I had the money) I just saw digital releases as an excuse to replay the game. Kind of silly but I got my money's worth by really replaying them, lol.
Probably some other examples I'm thinking of. In the end sometimes I like to be authentic and collect the original versions, especially for the SNES/PSX, so even if I have a game on some other console or collection, if I have the money I like to get the originals too.
I've re-bought some older FPS's on the PC like Deus Ex, Doom 3, etc, after getting a PC that can handle them nowadays, namely because they're pretty much always better than the console ports when it comes to framerate/resolutions. This generation it seems like they're usually more on par with each other, but yeah as for Xbox/PS2 FPS's, the PC versions are generally better I'd say and good enough to replay for a superior experience.

That's over a year old and I had no idea it existed, not trying to get into an argument or anything though.BoringSupreez wrote:http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21354

no worries, I forgot too! Merged so that people don't need to repeat their previous posts, though.insanecow0 wrote:That's over a year old and I had no idea it existed, not trying to get into an argument or anything though.BoringSupreez wrote:http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21354

I just don't understand why this is in the off topic section, as it belongs in the General Gaming thread, not that it's a big deal, and if there's nothing you can do about it don't worry about it.

This topic was created before there was a General Gaming folder. Back then, the Whatever folder encompassed just about everything. I think a mod can move it, if he wants to. I don't really care either way.insanecow0 wrote:I just don't understand why this is in the off topic section, as it belongs in the General Gaming thread, not that it's a big deal, and if there's nothing you can do about it don't worry about it.

I was not aware of that, I'm glad I know now.BoringSupreez wrote:This topic was created before there was a General Gaming folder. Back then, the Whatever folder encompassed just about everything.
