Recently finished Red River.. Not bad, but exactly the same OpFor on different terrain.

Bulletstorm is awesome.. This is what DNF should have been! I lament the lack of weapon variety, but it's a spectacle to behold and play. I tend to opt for the 360 when it comes to Unreal Engine-powered games

If you have the IWAD, jHeretic is a nice modern source port.

I hated Final Doom, which is what I assume you're talking about. The whole thing felt like a fan-made game, which was what I think it was.

Anyway, the FPS campaign I'm playing through right now is No One Lives Forever 2. I like it so far, it's different from most other FPS games I've played.

Yeah, "Final Doom" is essentially both TNT/Plutonia. TNT was originally meant to be a free wad I think but id purchased it and threw it on shelves or something like that, then the creators made Plutonia for them.

TNT is amateurish and Plutonia just isn't that fun. Way better fanmade megawads out there.

Homefront.

I saw the adverts a while back thought looks ok, might try it.

My cousin has the game gave me a loan of it.

3 and a half hours later I had completed it. Really short.

Graphics were pretty poor, ps2/xbox stuff here. Now graphics don't matter but they were pretty terrible which made the game hard as you weren't sure what you were supposed to look at etc.

Very glitchy. Collision detection etc a bit off.

The story, the story had/has REAL potential. This could have been an amazing game. It could have been great. It has a slight HL/COD feel about it but can't match either.

The story just seemed to be getting going then the game ended. It felt like it ended a 1/4 or a 1/3 of the way through, it just stopped.

Worth a rent not a buy unless its as cheap to buy as it is to rent.

One of the best FPS series of the last decade, in my opinion.

I just started SiN. 1998 shooter, released under the shadow of Half Life. Good 90s FPS.
