I wish you luck working on that.

I'm too chicken to try doing mine by myself.
haha thanks. I'm a bit nervous as well to be honest but in the end its already broken so if I break it some more I guess I haven't really lost anything.

Ooh, that looks slick!

Too bad it doesn't work with GB/GBC carts, but still.

Very tempting at that price. I might have to grab one.
I might do the same, it looks great.

No worries, just take your time. There's hardly anything you can do wrong with a simple solder job like that. Jump in, and suck up the experience...

Oh, and use a desolder pump to get the old caps out. Use a small cheap pen desolder pump. Heat up the contact points and put the pen on top of the solder you want to remove while heating it. Don't worry, the tip of your solder sucker and soldering iron can touch eachother. The pen can resist the soldering iron's heat...

If you have trouble getting all the solder out, just dump a new blob of solder on the solder you want to remove. The extra solder will help suck up the old solder...

Only thing you have to look out for is not to heat up the board for too long. So take your time and don't try to force things...

True. But I didn't go through anger management to fly off at some flea-ridden bum in the middle of broad daylight in the public.

Why do I have a feeling that's a GBA Micro with a magnifying glass?
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Yeah, I say that, but I would've likely done the same thing as you.

Smile: I thought I killed a few pixels after fiddling with my Game Boy Advance yesterday. Today I look and I see all of those pixels are back. Guess the stuff inside of them just needed some time to flow back in place. Anyways, I put everything back together now, bar the metal shielding I had to pry away, and unfortunately without backlight...

More smile: Both NESses (is this even correct spelling?...) I bought on a flea market a while ago got the blinky blinky thing going on. Managed to make one work perfectly after cleaning it and putting the connector's pins back up. Cleaned all the cartridges I bought while I was at it. They all work like a charm now...

A little ticked: The other NES refuses duty even after cleaning and putting the pins (even the top row) back up. Tried the other NES's connector on it and it worked fine then. So I'll have to buy a new connector. Thing is I paid only 5 euro per NES and a new connector will cost me 8,50 euro. That ain't right... Fortunately I know the guy that sold it to me, so I might just get my 5 euro back. We'll see...

It's the other way around. The Micro is an Advance with a tiny screen...

Screw that. I wouldn't have punched him, but I would've pushed him out of the way. No way I would've given him 5 bucks just to get him out of my way...

Smile/Laughed Hard: I finally gave into Facebook. I was resisting it as long as I could but I was bored today and just made one for the hell of it. Figured it might be cool to say what's up to some people from High School. About 4 hours after I made my account and added some people I got this text message:

"So you added danielle on facebook but not me? Why don't you just fuck yourself, repeatedly. Why don't you just fuck her and make me even more miserable than I already am? Then you can get back together and I'll probably end up swallowing a bottle of pills and make everybody happy. You're such a fucking asshole."

I haven't talked to this person for well over a year.

Ticked: The text messages aren't showing any signs of slowing down. It was hilarious at first but it's getting annoying. I got 2 more nasty ones during the time it took me to type this out.

Bah. I hate that fucking stupidity. Sorry you're having to deal with it.

I say do yourself a favor and close the account.

Though facebook never lets you completely close an account. They remove it from view, but you can always reactivate at any time. Heaven forbid someone escapes their addiction forever!
