You are elite when you unlock Green Hill Zone in Sonic Adventure 2 without cheating. Also, you are elite when you play through all 4 MGS games, in order, without playing on easy, all without killing a single person, not even a boss. (I did this.)

I can't say that I've ever accomplished either of these, but you know you're elite when...
You got ALL achievements in Ninja Gaiden 2 on the Xbox 360, including DLC, without EVER using a single glitch, bug or exploit to help you
You got the survivor achievements in Dead Rising. This also lets you know that you're probably seriously lacking in vitamin D in your life
One that I have done:
You finished the last stage of Shinobi on the PS 2 on the highest difficulty, with a tate on the last boss AND with the highest ranking for the stage
