Re: Worst system you still own
Xbox has always been my favorite 128 bit generation console. On top of some mighty fine exclusives (excluding PC versions), it tended to have superior versions of multiplat games. The library as a whole appealed to me more than the PS2's or GCN's, because I prefer Western games to Japanese ones. Plus, I'm one of the 14 people who actually liked the controller.

yeah I think the big reason I never got into it was because I far prefer Japanese games.BoringSupreez wrote:Xbox has always been my favorite 128 bit generation console. I was meh on "the Duke", didin't exactly like it or hate it, but the Controller S was simply awesome.BoringSupreez wrote:Plus, I'm one of the 14 people who actually liked the controller.
One of the most comfortable controllers ever made, you ask me.

Same. It has a big line-up of Western games that appeared on PC, but I'm just not into that stuff.noiseredux wrote:yeah I think the big reason I never got into it was because I far prefer Japanese games.

Yeah, I was talking about controller S. Firm, hefty but not too heavy, and waaaaay better analog stick placement than the Dualshock.CFFJR wrote:I was meh on "the Duke", didin't exactly like it or hate it, but the Controller S was simply awesome.BoringSupreez wrote:Plus, I'm one of the 14 people who actually liked the controller.

Ah, the age-old controller debate, which will ultimately prove nothing.
For the record, I've really liked some of the consoles that have been bashed in this thread and not really cared much for some of the ones that have been praised, though I figure in their case I just never spent the necessary time with them.

The PS1 would be the only console i really don't like. I grew up on Saturn. Most PS1 games have just aged really badly. I don't know what anyone is talking about when they say N64 games aged badly compared to PS1. Ocarina of time, which i played last year for the first time, has aged better than most games on the PS1. I don't care for the RPG's on the PS1...I'd rather have the quality RPG's on the SNES.

My favorite thing about XBOX was the SEGA/Smilebit trilogy; Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future and my personal favorite - Gunvalkyrie.
Good god that game is fun once you get the hang of it.
Deus Ex: Invisible War, HL2, and Doom 3 are also absolute must-haves imho, and I generally don't even like FPS titles. Ooooh and KoToR of course! The console really gave me access to titles I otherwise wouldn't have experienced - being a non-PC gamer.

Same. One reason I like the oXbox since I don't play PC games either. Except MinecraftNintendork666 wrote:The console really gave me access to titles I otherwise wouldn't have experienced - being a non-PC gamer.
